Work U brings education and experience together for a pathway to career success.
Work U is an experiential learning opportunity for students of any major. In a joint effort with employers in our community, students are matched with a project that aligns with their goals and provides them an opportunity to network and develop their skills in a professional setting. Employers also provide mentors for guidance and insight into potential career paths. Each week, Work U students gather together in an instructor-led class to share and unpack what they’ve learned.
When you’re going to college full time, it’s hard to also get work experience. Work U connects you with employers who work with your schedule and provide you invaluable experience in a professional environment.
With the help of our employer partners, we can train the next generation of the Treasure Valley workforce, while also providing leadership experience. Be a part of this new and growing program.
A new, innovative opportunity
“I learned many important things throughout this experience but one overarching take away that all students can agree on was the amount of professionalism this program offers. We were treated as employees rather than interns, were provided hands-on experience, met with and learned from true leaders and were placed in a high paced workplace.”
