Annually, the Career Center conducts a selection process to honor outstanding student employees. Supervisors of Boise State student employees are invited to nominate candidates for this award.
The selected Student Employee of the Year is announced at a reception in April – honoring all nominated students.
To be eligible for consideration, the nominee must
- have completed or expect to complete three months of employment in his or her current position during the current school year and
- be an undergraduate student employee paid by an hourly rate.
Selection of the Student Employee of the Year is based solely upon written nominations from supervisors or co-workers. General guidelines are provided for nomination content such as the student employee’s reliability, quality of work, initiative, adaptability, and uniqueness of contribution. A committee reviews submitted nomination forms in order to select one Student Employee of the Year.
