POSITION
TITLE:
DUTIES/JOB
DESCRIPTION: What the student will be doing.
The job description is very important.
Be as specific as you can.
HOURS: Flexible, minimum, maximum hours per week.
Student needs to complete at least 50 hours per each credit
earned if doing work for academic credit.
Typically, students look for internships during the same time as
the school calendar year.
REQUIREMENTS: What skills would you like this student to possess.
Student's class level (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior). Excellent writing and communication skills, knowledge of
computer applications such as Windows 2000, MS Word.
Grade point average requirement.
List academic majors from which you want to hire, such as business,
science, etc..
COMPENSATION: It is not a requirement that internships be paid.
However, because a large number of Boise State students work,
internships that pay an hourly rate or stipend are more attractive.
HOW
TO APPLY: Students can be asked to submit a cover letter and resume
directly to the agency offering the internship.
Include the name of the contact person, agency address, phone and
fax numbers, as well as email on your announcement.
You may also direct students to submit materials to the Career
Center, and the internship coordinator will forward them to you after
the internship's deadline closes.
APPLICATION
DEADLINE: List a specific date and time or list as "Open until
filled."
