Jennifer Iuvone
I joined the staff of the Career Center in July 2007.
Before moving to Boise to become a BSU Career Counselor, I worked and
attended school at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona,
where I earned my Master’s of Education in Counseling with an emphasis in
Human Relations. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the
University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. (I am a native
Floridian who loves the west!) I really enjoy helping students and have
been working in various student support roles for the past several years.
Now, let’s get on to the question you’re really
asking:
What
can you do to help me?
Simply put, I
can help you learn about yourself and what’s important to you, choose a
major, establish career goals, plan and prepare for your career, and
finally, get the job you want!
You don’t have to be an undecided student or a
graduating senior to get assistance, either. Maybe you’ve picked a major
you really like, but could use some help figuring out exactly what you
want to do after you’re done with school. Maybe you’re having trouble
deciding between all the different things that interest you. Maybe you’re
wondering if you should consider going to grad school. Or, perhaps you’re
a broke student who could use help getting a part-time job!
I particularly enjoy the job search, which I think
may put me in about .01% of the population that thinks applying for jobs
is fun, but the good news for you is, I am excited to help you with
your search! Whether you’re going for a student job, an internship, or
a full-time position, I can help you learn the best ways to find job
openings, write resumes and cover letters, and interview like a pro.
